What is the excess under my Home Insurance policy?

A policy excess is the amount which you are responsible for in the event of making a claim. All insurance policies contain excesses and this amount is not insured.

Home Insurance policies generally have a standard excess for most sections, however, certain sections may have higher excess amounts . For example the excess for subsidence claims, trace & access are usually higher.

To find all excess information for each section you would need to check your policy booklet and documents.
